Accordia is a long-term member of the SEDEX Sustainable Stakeholder Forum (“SSF”), previously known as the Associate Auditor Group.  The SSF is a key group of brands and retailers, industry experts whose aim is to develop ‘fit for purpose’ responsible sourcing content and improvements in the SMETA audit methodology.

Accordia has been performing SMETA audits since 2006. Our global team of auditors are found in key sourcing countries and are supported by a local network of Accordia offices.   Local auditors and local offices provide advantages for our clients:



Accordia is a member of the Association of Professional Social Compliance Auditors (“APSCA”).  APSCA's mission is to enhance the professionalism and credibility of the individuals and organizations performing independent social compliance audits.  The organization goals are to improve social compliance audit quality and support individuals and organizations carrying out audits which will contribute to the improvement of workplace conditions.

Accordia performs on-site SMETA audits at various locations including factories, packaging facilities and farms, globally to assess the practices to support ethical compliance to labor, health and safety, business ethics and environmental requirements of the SMETA protocol.

Clients who are SEDEX participating members may store and share their SMETA reports in the SEDEX platform, a secure, online database.
